As a privileged ADHD adult I have had the opportunity to pursue all of my entrepreneurial dreams (to a fault).
After almost a decade of working in construction (starting at 13), by the age of 24 I was working for myself taking on small to medium construction projects and renovations. On top of that I was growing my personal training business both in person and online.
At the age of 26 I had worked with 2 business partners at the time to secure multiple micro investors and I opened my first brick and mortar business, Raincity Athletics, a 2,500 sqft CrossFit gym.
In 2014 (the next year) we saw a need for more recreational level competition in the CrossFit & functional fitness space, so we started the Canadian Affiliate League (CAL), later known as the Functional Fitness League, Canada's first ever 'beer league' head to head recreational league format, bringing competition to thousands of athletes across dozens of affiliates and multiple regions.
I then formed the BCFFSA, the first Provincial Sport Organization under the Canadian Functional Fitness Federation and the International Functional Fitness Federation.
These are just a few of the entrepreneurial endeavors I've had the privilege of pursuing, and along that road I have learned some HARD lessons. From partner buy-outs, to being taken to the HRT by a coach I fired.
This collection is for anyone with an entrepreneurial dream. I hope you can learn something from the many lessons I have had to learn the hard way.
nothing matches those filters.
